Ben Canaider is a drinks writer and beverage commentator.

Wine. Affordable wine. Good wine. Wine for proper people from proper postcodes, and all the other wine. He is clever about spirits (clear, golden or brown), aperitifs, fortifieds, and some beers. He also knows the sake secrets, why coffee is important, and why tea is a better drink than most of the above. He also knows who invented mineral water and where bottled still water actually comes from.

When not typing he enjoys luncheon. He does not go out at night and only patronises restaurants he has been to before.
